Do More Of What Makes You Happy - Volunteer

"I have experienced much happiness and peace since joining the Markham Lions Club. Not only does it feel good to help others in need within my community, but also to work on global projects too. I have a new kind of family, the Markham Lions, and I enjoy both serving and socializing with them equally. My husband is also a Lion, and our teenage daughters volunteer along side us. I would recommend joining a Lions Club to anyone who is community minded and likes getting a genuine smile of appreciation in return for their good deeds."

Markham Lions are a dedicated group of men and women who, over the years, have voluntarily raised over 1.5 million dollars to support a variety of community projects for the benefit of all.

The Lions motto “We Serve” is exemplified by the many projects relating to sight and hearing, such as our support for “Seeing-Eye” dogs, “Hearing-Ear” dogs and Vision & Hearing Screening in local schools.

The Lions Museum is located in the Markham Museum - history in the making!

  • Do you want to help the less fortunate?
  • Do you want to feel the joy of Lionism?
  • Do you feel the need to help?

The Markham Lions Club is composed of men and women who have a desire to help serve their fellow man. We are not a social or professional organization. We are a civic organization dedicated to serving. But here is the secret, we know how to have fun and by having fun as we serve, we do it well.

If you know a member of our club, ask him or her of the feeling of pride of being a Lion member. Not sure if you know a Lion? See the lists of Directors and Committee Chairs listed above. Do you recognize someone you know? Don't hesitate to ask him or her about Lionism. Contact us using the link under the Contact Us heading.

We welcome New Members, both men and women to the Markham Lions Club.
